She is married to Elder Irving Tolbert, and together they have experienced the transformative power of adoption as they became parents to La Nej Garrison, M.A.—a dynamic speaker, philosopher, and apologist. La Nej is now happily married to Coach Matthew Garrison, and the Tolbert family's adoption story has blossomed into the joyful presence of three precious grandsons.
